Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1984. Lives and works in Buenos Aires.
Tiziana Pierri systematically and boldly explores the language of painting. Through the use of a personal color palette and gestures of humor and absurdity, her painting freely moves between abstraction and non-realistic figuration. Her works take the language of painting to an extreme, betting on the poetic potential of the medium.
She studied painting with Sergio Bazán and drawing with Pablo Siquier and Viviana Blanco. In 2009, she joined the Artists' Program at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, and the following year, she received the Kuitca Scholarship 2010 at the same university. In 2012, she was selected for the URRA Art Residency in Buenos Aires.
She has held solo exhibitions at galleries Alberto Sendrós (2006), Mite (2010), and Nora Fisch (2011, 2016, 2019). She has participated in group exhibitions at galleries Nora Fisch, Ruth Benzacar, Alberto Sendrós, at the Modern Art Museum of Buenos Aires, the Recoleta Cultural Center, and at the MUNAR space. In early 2017, she was part of "The Decisions of Touch," an exhibition curated by Sonia Becce and Mariano Mayer at Casa de América in Madrid, within the framework of Argentina Plataforma ARCO 2017.
